Modern Slavery Statement
Pimlico Movers Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps Pimlico Movers has taken, and continues to take, to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business operations and supply chains. We are committed to conducting our activities ethically, responsibly, and with respect for the rights and dignity of all individuals.
Our Business and Supply Chains
Pimlico Movers is a moving and relocation services company operating within the United Kingdom. Our activities include domestic and commercial removals, packing services, storage coordination, and related logistics. Our supply chains include subcontracted labour providers, vehicle and equipment suppliers, packaging material manufacturers, storage facilities, and various professional and support services.
We recognise that certain sectors within logistics and labour provision can carry a higher risk of modern slavery and human trafficking. As such, we are committed to identifying, assessing, and mitigating any such risks in a proactive and transparent manner.
Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery
Pimlico Movers has a clear and unequivocal zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. This applies to all aspects of our business and to all individuals and organisations with whom we work. We do not accept any form of forced labour, debt bondage, servitude, child labour, or exploitation in our operations or supply chains.
All employees, contractors, and suppliers are expected to uphold this commitment. Breaches of this policy may result in disciplinary action, termination of contracts, and, where appropriate, reporting to relevant authorities. We expect our business partners to adopt similar standards and to cascade these expectations through their own supply chains.
Supplier Due Diligence and Audits
We aim to work only with suppliers and contractors who share our values and uphold high ethical standards. As part of our supplier onboarding and ongoing management, Pimlico Movers conducts due diligence to assess the risk of modern slavery. This may include reviewing company policies, requesting confirmations of compliance, and evaluating labour practices and recruitment methods.
For higher-risk suppliers, we reserve the right to conduct audits or request independent verification of compliance. These audits may examine wage records, working hours, recruitment fees, right-to-work documentation, and grievance procedures. Where non-compliance or areas of concern are identified, we will work with the supplier on corrective action plans or, where necessary, terminate the relationship.
Training, Awareness, and Reporting Channels
We recognise that awareness is essential to preventing modern slavery. Pimlico Movers provides relevant employees and managers with information and guidance on identifying potential signs of exploitation, such as restricted freedom of movement, control of personal documents, or evidence of coercion.
We encourage a culture in which concerns can be raised without fear of retaliation. Employees, contractors, and other stakeholders are encouraged to report any suspected instances of modern slavery or unethical labour practices through internal reporting channels or directly to senior management. Reports can be made confidentially, and all concerns will be taken seriously, investigated promptly, and addressed appropriately.
We are committed to ensuring that individuals who raise concerns in good faith are not subjected to any form of detrimental treatment as a result of speaking up.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
Pimlico Movers understands that tackling modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility. We regularly review our policies, due diligence processes, and supplier management practices to strengthen our approach and respond to evolving risks.
This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed annually by our leadership team to assess its effectiveness, incorporate lessons learned, and reflect any changes in legislation or best practice. Where necessary, we will update our procedures, provide additional training, and refine our supplier requirements to enhance protection against modern slavery across our operations and supply chains.
This statement has been approved by the management of Pimlico Movers and represents our ongoing commitment to ethical business conduct and the protection of human rights.
